I don't have a solution, but can tell I have no problem with BT under W7 on my P1620 and my desktop PC. I have a BT mouse, PDA with BT, BT stereo headphones, and all work perfectly fine. Windows asked me to download an additional driver for A2DP when I tried connecting the headset for the first time, which I did, and it worked straight away after that.
I was actaully pretty amazed at how W7 integrates with my phone.. One click to connect to the net using it as a modem, ability to enter a number and dial it from the pc, etc...
Are you sure your mouse is in pairing mode when you try?

Hi Kilrah, Yes, the mouse is discoverable--Win 7 correctly identifies it as a Targus BT mouse. It even shows a picture of it! Then I click on it, and get the authentication/passcode message. There just isn't any option or screen to add a passcode. This is so aggravating because Win 7 finds it but will not let me choose whether or not to use a passcode. It's ridiculous. And the Targus site is absolutely worthless.

Have you put the mouse in pairing mode? If it has paired with any other device (and even it it hasn't), usually a mouse will disable new associations until you press a button to reset it. Some mice will only pair with one device, but resetting will allow it to pair with a new one.

Have you installed the P1610 BT drivers/stack?
On my P1620 I have, so I'm using the Toshiba stack and configuration utility, not the Windows default thing...
On my desktop I'm using the windows stack though.

I just had an "AH HA" moment based on your response--I think I need to load the P1610 BT drivers onto the Win 7 partition! The BT mouse works fine when I boot into the XP partition...but will the XP drivers work for Win 7? Or where could I find the ones you are using (Toshiba)? Thanks!!

I used the official P1620 BT driver available on Fujitsu's site, but can't remember if I used the XP or Vista version. Now that the W7 versions are released you might as well try that (EDIT: oops, that's actually for the P1620, not sure if they made W7 ones for the P1610).

I'm finding that the Windows 7 Drivers on Fujitsu's P1630 page work pretty well for me on my P1610.
Shock Sensor seems to be working fine for me now. |

I just installed windows 7 on my p1610. I downloaded the authentec windows 7 driver suggested in the first page. http://www.authentec.com/win7update/W7Wbf32.exe . When I try to enroll in biometrics WIN7 control panel it says I need a fingerprint management software.
I still didn't install a single drivers besides the fingerprint one above and wanted to confirm 2 details.
1. should I remove my driver install? 2. should I use the p1630 win 7 drivers or p1610 vista drivers?

That's either a driver-only package, or a terribly obsolete link. Go to the Windows Update catalog and download the "official" one, they're all the same package don't worry about the device type (though yours is an AES2501A).
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=authentec
Be sure to uninstall the earlier one first.

I guess try going to the main catalog, it will check your browser version and install an activex control
http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/
Then go to the URL I posted, or just click "Search" and enter "Authentec".
The other missing devices almost certainly include the FUJ02B1 and FUJ02E3 drivers, which are installed by the standard Fujitsu utilites and System Extension apps. Not sure what the 4th one is, if you go into Device Manager, open the devices with the yellow triangles, then click "details" you can find their hardware id's in the pulldown list. Post these numbers and we can say for sure.

When I installed windows 7 professional on my p1620, I didn't install any drivers. Windows found the authentec drive for my fingerprint reader by itself. Can't remember if that was after a couple of updates or not though.

So you installed all except the camera p1630 drivers or just the button & shocksensor drivers? I noticed my buttons don't work and started to install some of the vista drivers and am running into some compatability warnings. |

Hey guys,
I don't think this has been covered yet but I was able to get the shock sensor working with Windows 7. Go to this website:
http://www.notebook-driver.com/fujitsu/fujitsu-lifebook-p1610-tablet-notebook-windows-vista-drivers/ br /
First Download and Install -Fujitsu System Extension Driver (FUJ02E3) then, -Fujitsu System Extension Utility Restart your computer Then Install -Fujitsu Shock Sensor Utility V.2.0L20a Restart your computer
When Windows boots back up just open the Shock Sensor utility and you should see that it is working.
I followed these directions. Windows 7 ultimate says "this program is blocked due to compatibility issues.
EDIT: What ended up working were p1630 win 7 drivers instead for shock sensor & system extensions |
